How to Interact with 3D Modules
- Activate Viewer: Click anywhere on a 3D model or its playback controls to select.
- 3D Navigation:
- Click + Drag on the canvas to rotate the camera.
- Scroll to zoom in and out.
- Shift + Click + Drag to move camera position.
- Hit "Reset Camera Position" if the camera moves undesirably.
- Playback Controls: Use the timeline panel below the canvas to play, pause, step frame-by-frame, or scrub through the movement sequence.
Interactive Joint Movements
- Use this interactive model to understand the movements of the ankle and toes.
- Slide the toggles back and forth to move the joints.
Ankle Plantarflexion
- Use the sliders to fade out the muscles as needed.
- Notice how all muscles of the ankle aid in performing this action.
Knee Flexion
- As the knee bends, notice how the gastrocnemius shortens due to knee flexion occuring.
Ankle Inversion
- Notice how all muscles in the deeper inner layer of the calf help perform inversion.
Toe Movements
- There are individual muscles within the inner layer of the calf that move the toes.
- NOTE: there are also muscles in the foot that also move the toes, but these are not pictured here.
Dynamic Gymnastics Movement
- If you haven't already, try moving the camera view around using CLICK+DRAG and SHIFT+CLICK+DRAG.
- Hit "Reset Camera View" if the camera moves undesirably.
